Pleasure and Shame an Unholy Matrimony

Pleasure and Shame
have tied the knot
made an unholy agreement
a long time ago
And, as their loyal servant
I am at their feet
obliged to abide by their
ancient covenant
So when Pleasure is just
around the corner
Shame must be summoned
to the rescue
stipulates the contract
So all those thousands of poor nerve endings
are all but forgotten
kept behind bars
prisoners down south
Why are they all locked up?
surely, they have not
committed a crime
betrayed and abandoned
they remain in confinement
all must abide by the pact!
Until one day
a tiny brave
nerve ending finds
the nerve to speak up
It says in a discernible whisper:
why are we all forgotten
and locked up?
The flood gates to
deep emotions open up
all the old stuff
It is an old pact
that is now nullified
It is void
not relevant anymore
Shed it and shred it
In the name
of her HOLY
Pleasure
So now that the key has been found
And, all the nerve endings
have been set free
to move as they like
Dance
play and vibrate in bliss
night or day
To the tunes of the heart
Content
And, Free at last
